I was lucky to grow up with Alys. And to be able to call her my friend. She was, and will always be, a beautiful person, and a beautiful soul. She was, and is still, loved by so many people, including me. On whose lives, she made an unforgettable impression. I'm so proud of her, for the way she fought, even when she was so poorly. She had a gentle smile that lit up a room. But she was steely, feisty and fiercely independent too. And refused to give up. Alys was one hell of a lady. I still miss her so much. I did not know Paul for as long, but still for a great few years. I remember him, and his face vividly, still now. A charming, charismatic, beautiful man. A tornado of a man. An anarchic, creative, free spirit. Who you could not help but be drawn to. As I was. He had a magnetism about him. A caring person, a good man. And you also knew when he'd entered a room, or arrived at a pub, or a party. He just put a smile on people's faces. He always made me laugh. Just a really great bloke.
